An additional official game mode is Vehicle CTF, which will only appear in the gametype browser after the user adds a VCTF map in the Maps directory, be it an official VCTF map (released after the game was published) or releases from amateur mapmakers. Rounding out the remainder of the game modes is the standard Capture the Flag, Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Double Domination, Bombing Run, Last Man Standing, Invasion, and Mutant, for a total of ten different game modes. The players must go to each Power Node, link it to the enemy Core, and eventually attack the enemy Power Core itself. Another team-based mode, there are several Power Nodes spread throughout the map, with one base per team that houses a large Power Core. At the end of the round, whether time runs out or the attackers win, the roles are switched, and the defenders become the attackers. The attackers must try to complete various objectives, and the defenders have to stop them. This mode pits two teams, attackers and defenders, against each other. First and foremost is the return of Assault mode from the original Unreal Tournament. This latest edition includes several new features. Game Description Unreal Tournament 2004 is the third game in the popular Unreal Tournament series.

BR, everyone follows you, bots are not great on BR, imho.Item: 392226706541 Unreal Tournament 2004-FPS Shooter PC Game-Fast Post-ORIGINAL & COMPLET. ONS - everyone follows you, attack in a wave, then leave a bot behind once you can lock a node. Depending on map, you can leave one to hold position at key locations, chokes are the best for CTF.ĭOM/ONS/BR - keep a bot holding on each Dom point, the rest follows you. if there are more bots, same strats, 1 freelances and another follows. You can go rogue and do whatever you want, keep one bot at base but hold position at chokes instead of at flag, that way it can either kill enemy approaching your base or at least slow them down for you to respond. chokes, sniper, shield belt, this will again hopefully deny enemy team those resources and spread them out a little across the map so you can mop up.įor CTF, always freelance a bot and have another follow it. For larger teams, send the rest on a mix of attack and freelance but keep one holding position at key location i.e. Freelance on the other hand, makes them play more normal, which means they'll go after resources and hopefully deny them for the enemy team. Attack will send the bot on a search and destroy mode, basically scouring the map and engaging on sight. For TDM, have one follow you, one freelance and another "attack". It was called something like SmartBots or BetterBots. Not sure if mutators even work in singleplayer though. Godlike in combination with this mutator would be the hardest difficulty. Godlike isn’t the hardest, there is a mutator that makes the bots WAY smarter and they play a lot more human like. Just camp them somewhere near a decent weapon and some health pickups.Īnother alternative would be to remove all but 1 bot and just play the TDM matches as a 1v1 instead. You can command all of them at once or individually. Giving the bots commands is probably the best you’re going to get. I know there is a “killbots” command and I think you can remove all the bots from your team. The enemies will die so fast and be overwhelmed and not smart enough to come at you with more bots to have a chance. Or just make the entire team Zerg with you. Likely the enemy team will now be feeding them if you camp them in the right place. So you can force them to follow you or defend an area that way they won’t feed.

If I remember right the bots will follow commands. This was so long ago I don’t remember having an issue here.
